In ancient times Jadranovo's temperate climate and easily accessible location along the coast attracted many visitors. The oldest traces of fortified settlements date from the Neolithic period (6500-4000 BC). In the bay of Lokvi??e people anthropologists found a large number of broken amphora's, which indicated the existence of small ports and warehouses used in the production of wine and oil. In VIII. and IX. century this area was inhabited by Croats arrived in the area of northern Dalmatia. In the recent past (beginning XX.st.) then called St. Jakob is a place where fishermen and masons live and since 1935. first guests started to arrive. Since then the place has become a tourist destination with many regular guests.
